Solvent Technologies

Bradley Coatings Group solvent alkyd technologies are typically low volatile organic compound compliant and free of hazardous air pollutants. Our basecoat alkyd system used with a clear coat polyurethane topcoat is a strong coating system used in the railroad and industrial markets. These systems are proven to prevent rust, maintain a good flexibility, and offer superior gloss retention. We also offer alkyds for the interior and exterior of equipment that can be sprayed with the ease of airless equipment. These alkyds can also be fortified to give a urethane appearance. The alkyd basecoat clear coat systems are a good choice when the expense of an epoxy urethane three coat system is not required.

We also offer the standard alkyd products which are sold into a mature marketplace and are sold competitively where a direct to metal coating is needed to keep a piece of industrial equipment free of rust. These coatings have good salt spray protection and competitive adhesion over suspect steel conditions. We also manufacture fast dry modified alkyd primers, which offer good flexibility, a wide recoat window, and good corrosion resistance that accept a wide variety of topcoats once cured. Our direct to metal alkyd technologies are used in the transportation and industrial markets where fast dry, flexible, good gloss retention, and strong adhesion are needed.
